Define Dancing Coaster

My friend and I had an idea for a new roller coaster type ride that we thought would be fantastic to go in Disney World. We thought maybe even in Wonders of Life. If you have not seen Wall-E, or do not know what song "Define Dancing" is, please watch this YouTube clip before continuing on.

Define Dancing

Our goal for this roller coaster is not brute force or insane speed like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or Top Thrill Dragster from Cedar Point. This would actually be a very elegant roller coaster with swooping curves and one, maybe two, inversions, and not the loud, obnoxious (for lack of a better term), super-thrill roller coaster, set to the music "Define Dancing."

It would be a dark ride of course and you'd be dancing with Wall-E and Eve around the Axiom. Granted it's what some would dub "Pixarification," but I truly believe that the Define Dancing scene is one of the single greatest individual scenes that Disney, or Pixar, has ever created. What does everyone think? Go ahead and shoot it down if you like, I don't mind.

I kind of love it! The idea of a smooth ride like that - possibly even a "flying" coaster (even though I hate them) to make it feel like you are soaring around with them.... Good idea!

If Wall-E had been a little more popular i could have seen it happening.

With no inversions it could be an awesome ride for some of the smaller folk.

like a modern day peter pan's flight

I don't know that this would really have the same impact as just a dark ride as it would a dark coaster.

Can I just clarify what you mean by "flying" coaster? I think I know what you mean but I just want to be sure.

They are a cool concept - but scare the **** out of me.


The cars are suspended below the track and the passengers are "hanging" with their backs parrellel to the track -- so you feel like you are "flying". I think sea world has one now that is like the Sting Ray or something...

Even though I hated Wall-E, I think this ride is a great idea. Keep working on it. :D
