    JJC #1 – Kid Stuff

After photos, journaling is the 2nd most important element of Scrapbooking. With the Jumba Journaling Challenge (JJC) series, you will be given journaling tasks to complete. The purpose is to get you to push your journaling to the next level and leave detailed thoughts and feelings for generations to come. These tasks could be in the form of a question, a quiz, or a list.

The task for Jumba’s Journaling Challenge #1 is: Kid Stuff

This challenge is a quiz you can ask to your children to record what is happening in their everyday lives. If you do an album for every year, this quiz can be asked year after year to record the changes in their lives. You can type the quiz on a computer with your child’s answers, or have them write the answers on a piece of scrapbook paper and record their handwriting too! Don’t forget to put the age of the child when the quiz was taken! This challenge is a great way to layout a page with those random photos of your children that don’t fit anywhere else, but are too cute not to scrap.

This quiz was taken from the Simple Scrapbooks special issue Scrapbook Shortcuts with Quizzes & Questions.

    1) If you could have one superpower what would it be?
    2) What chore did you do last?
    3) What was the last movie you saw at a theater?
    4) What is your favorite song?
    5) Do you get an allowance? How much?
    6) How do you get to school?
    7) What do you like to eat for lunch?
    8) What’s the nicest thing you’ve done lately for someone in your family?
    9) What makes you mad?
    10) Where would you like to go on vacation?

Feel free to omit or add questions based on your children and what you want to remember.

Future challenges in this series will be journaling about you, your family, your significant other, your past, and so on.

The next JJC will be posted on May 27th.

Thanks! Yes, it's digital and I used the Fanciful kit from www.digitalscrapbookplace.com. I made it in January for a challenge at their forums to do an interview with one of your kids.

    April,

Did that Simple Scrapbook special edition come out recently? I may have to pick it up b/c DS4 wanted me to ask him MORE questions.

Thanks for the idea. He wanted the super power of karate and is waiting to take a vacation to "Old MacDonalds" (that's McDonalds to you and me). LOL

I have pictures from earlier this year of him wearing Space Ghost power bands that we made together. Now I just need to find time to scrap the layout.

It came out maybe 6 months ago? I'll be posting more quizes as time goes on, so if you can't find the book know that they are coming. I can also email you some more of the kid questions from it if you would like.

This is an old one .... it lists all the things my daughter told me she loved at the time! In the bottom pocket is tucked in a note she wrote at the time!

Thanks! I would tend to agree with you at least 98% of the time. The other 2%....well, lets just say I pray for patience.

Yeah, don't be doing that. You know the only way God will give you patience is to LEARN it!
