This means don't go buy anything new, but I can use supplies I have already purchased and have lying around? Because obviously, without spending a penny I would have to use a grocery sack for the background and leaves and twigs from the yard.
Welcome to the first task in the Tuesday Technique Challenge series.
These challenges will push you to explore techniques and materials you may not normally use in your creations.
Task for Tuesday Technique Challenge (TTC) #1 is:
Scraplift a design from Simple Scrapbooks magazines online gallery.
Gallery
Please read The Art of Scraplifting article for guidelines on how to scraplift.
Stitchify! – Complete this layout WITHOUT spending a single penny on supplies (photo printing excluded).
Please upload your layout or card into the Disney Scrapbooking photo album, with TTC #1 in the title.
Also, when you post your item here, please list the supplies that you used (brand of patterned paper, type of embellishments, etc), so if someone loves one of your ideas they can find the supplies to lift it. Include a link to the layout you scraplifted, so we can see what you worked off of.
This challenge is going to run for two weeks. Deadline for TTC #1 is August 22nd. And remember, you can combine challenges, so if you want to combine this with the IASW one, go right ahead!
Have fun and get those creative juices flowing!

Those are perfect materials if you were scrapping digitally, but for traditional scrapbooking those materials will eat your photos.Originally Posted by iwannabeminnie

When I say don't spent a penny I mean use supplies (paper, stickers, ribbon, etc) that you have in the house. Don't run to the store to buy items for this layout.
Good lord I have enuf craft supplies around here to supply most of the site with things to make a page LOL again I confess---I am a packrat! TY Stitch I owe you one
Now comes the hard part, deciding which one to scraplift--geesh only 39 pages to choose from LOL
QUESTION???? Can we use another site to scraplift from? After examining 90% of the layouts on there, I really cant find one I like or will work for the pictures I want to work on.
OOP NEVER MIND>>>Disregard above question.![]()

Sure, just post a link to the layout you are lifting.
And remember, you don't have to lift an entire layout you can lift:
- Color combination
- Theme of the page
- Use of a particular product or embellishment
- Overall design/layout of page elements
- Use of handmade creations (i.e. freehand drawing, hand-cut elements, etc)
- Photography
- Storytelling/journaling perspective
Okay....will need to check out the gallery later and see what I want to do.![]()
This is the link to the page that I "scraplifted."
Simple Scrapbooks magazine
These are the two pages that I did using that page as a model. I mirror imaged one so I could place them side by side in the book if needed.

Good Job! Your dog's name is BACON??????? I know that there is gotta be a story behind that one.
That is what Kandis named him when she adopted him. Then Kandis moved out and we got the dog. Funny how that seems to work.
