hello neighbor!
welcome - this is a fun site!
when's your trip?
Just posting to say hello to all. I'm finally going back to Disney after 18 years (I haven't been there since I was 12) and I used to go twice a year! As I got older, I decided to stay home with my grammie while my brother and the rest of the family continued to take trips to WDW. Recently, I got in to scrap booking which brought bake the memories I had of the parks as a child. I decided it was high time to return. When I was younger, my grammie had gotten me a Alice dress and the photos brought back such a feeling of enjoyment. My husband has only been to Disney one time and I look forward to sharing this trip with him so we can be kids again before we settle down with children of our own. I know that once we have our own, we'll be taking those yearly trips for them again! I honestly can't wait to see how things have changed and grown over the years, and I can't wait to see AK since it wasn't there yet when I last went. And for some reason, I look forward to riding the monorail again! We're driving down from MD and making a stop at South of the Border since that was a family stop along the way!

Thanks everyone! We're going for the week of the 22nd. I can't wait. And I don't fly, never have never will! I have a new convertible mustang that I'm excited to make the trip in. When I was little, I dreamed of cruising Florida in a convertible and now it's time. And to make for some fun, I'm planning to get many replica photos of how I posed with certain things when i was little. I even bought an outfit that looks similar to one my mom wore the night we ate at the Luau thing in PV. I wanted to stay in CR but they were booked that week so we're going with CSR. Oh goodness, I'm too excited for words. I'm almost tempted to fly to just get there faster!
PS. I'm in Cumberland MD for those of you from MD. I'm about 2.5 hours NW of DC.

sounds like fun!
that's gotta be a long drive though...
Welcome to the boards. (I used to live in Brooklyn Park.)
We never stopped at South of the Border due to time constraints when traveling, but you certainly won't be able to miss it when you head south. The signs are everywhere.
There will be plenty of changes to see on this trip. Have a great time. I'll be in the area while you are there. I can't wait to go either.
