Hi from Texas
Hi everyone!
I am new to the forum. I am a native Texan and a Disney fanatic! I always wanted to go as a child but my parents never took me. I am making up for that now as an adult. Thanksgiving week will be my 15th time to go and I believe that I get more excited about going each time. My favorite time to go is Thanksgiving. Going at Thanksgiving gives you an added bonus of seeing the CHristmas decor as well as a great Thanksgiving dinner and week. Sorry I am preaching to the choir here. I am a dyslexia teacher in an elementary school. I live right outside of Houston. I am really looking forward to staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We usually stay at the All Stars or the old Dixie Landing. My daughter got married at Disney not too long ago. Yes, we are big fans! When I am not visiting, I am scrapping my Disney trips. This is a terrific website and I will be spending lots of time here!

Welcome!! i to was never took as a child.. my parents always said it was so business and packed and everyone was like oh its not worth the money so i never got to go.. then my current hubby who had went to epcot said oh yes its worth it.. and he took me last year.. i was so nervous and upset it would live up to my expections of what i had it built up to be.. and my hubby kept saying oh you will love it..
even now it feels surreal i was even there! we were only there for 2 days with my entire in law family and that was the only bad part.. so were going this year just us 3 and staying a week so i can soak in the magical!!!
your going to love it here.. i would have to say this is the best site on the net!

Welcome! I live in Texas and I teach at a University. I too am going during Thanksgiving week but it is only my 5th trip. It will be my two youngest boys first trip and I can't wait to see their faces! Have fun! And Welcome to the boards!

Thanks everyone for the great welcome! This IS a very friendly group and so knowlegdable about WDW. I am already guilty of neglecting things I need to do so that I can soak in everything here! This is so much more fun and interesting than cooking supper, doing laundry, etc. I hope that I can contribute as much as I have gotten out of this site so far.

Hi Debra. I'm a native Texan also, however I'm living in Indiana at the present. My sister lives in Spring. We were never taken to WDW as children either, but we are making up for lost time. I also scrap, and I also have grown children. We aren't going to WDW at Thanksgiving, though. We are going on the Lou Cruise instead!
