A Newbie jumping in from Ohio
Hello...or should I say "Mongello"!
I'm a recent convert to the "I get it" Disney way of thinking. It took me many years but I finally get it.
Here's My Disney History:
1965: went to Disneyland when I was 3. I remember the submarines, being stepped on by the Big Bad Wolf as he was chasing the 3 Little Pigs, the Tiki Room, and riding Dumbo.
1984: back to Disneyland with my sister while taking a break from attending the L.A. Olympics. I enjoyed it but I still didn't get it.
2005: finally decided to go to WDW and see what it was all about. My sister and I did it commado style. I figured it was a one time trip. I really enjoyed myself but still didn't get it. I was in such sensory overload during that trip, I didn't even realize that there was music in the parks other than on some of the attractions.
2007: discovered podcasting and found WDWtoday (sorry, Lou!) This is when I began to appreciate all the little details WDW put into their parks. It was also through WDWtoday that I discovered MouseWorldRadio and fell in love with the park music (all the stuff I didn't realize I'd heard throughout the parks in 2005). This fed my hunger to go back to WDW 2Xs, once in May and again in October. I caught the fever. I finally got it! Then I started to hear WDWtoday talk about something called Mongello, was it a new dish in WDW? Then I realized they were talking about a person . I had to find out who this was and this is how I found WDWradio and eventually these forums. I love, love, LOVE Lou and Jeff's DSI discussions!!!!
Okay, I've rambled on way too long in my DisneyHello, and I hope to see you all around here from time to time.
