I"m hooked on the music. Last trip I actually slowed down a bit and listened. I tried to get DH to do the same. Maybe next trip!
Glad you are here and Welcome!
Hello...or should I say "Mongello"!
I'm a recent convert to the "I get it" Disney way of thinking. It took me many years but I finally get it.
Here's My Disney History:
1965: went to Disneyland when I was 3. I remember the submarines, being stepped on by the Big Bad Wolf as he was chasing the 3 Little Pigs, the Tiki Room, and riding Dumbo.
1984: back to Disneyland with my sister while taking a break from attending the L.A. Olympics. I enjoyed it but I still didn't get it.
2005: finally decided to go to WDW and see what it was all about. My sister and I did it commado style. I figured it was a one time trip. I really enjoyed myself but still didn't get it. I was in such sensory overload during that trip, I didn't even realize that there was music in the parks other than on some of the attractions.
2007: discovered podcasting and found WDWtoday (sorry, Lou!) This is when I began to appreciate all the little details WDW put into their parks. It was also through WDWtoday that I discovered MouseWorldRadio and fell in love with the park music (all the stuff I didn't realize I'd heard throughout the parks in 2005). This fed my hunger to go back to WDW 2Xs, once in May and again in October. I caught the fever. I finally got it! Then I started to hear WDWtoday talk about something called Mongello, was it a new dish in WDW? Then I realized they were talking about a person. I had to find out who this was and this is how I found WDWradio and eventually these forums. I love, love, LOVE Lou and Jeff's DSI discussions!!!!
Okay, I've rambled on way too long in my DisneyHello, and I hope to see you all around here from time to time.

Welcome stinkypooh, er, stitchythepooh!
(sorry, couldn't resist another pooh related joke, and I swear that'll be the last time I'll make a joke off your username!)
Hope your landing went well from that big jump from Ohio! And yes, Mongello is a specialty dish served at Chief Namee's Cannibal Cafe. Mongello, the other other white meat. Oh, and Kungaloosh!![]()

Thanks for the welcome, and with each trip to WDW I try to slow down and savor the atmosphere but with only 3 visits under my belt so far I haven't quite mastered the Zen approach to Disney yet. My last trip I actually allowed myself to relax long enough to try a few table service restaurants. That was a new and wonderful experience for me, one I intend to make a habit of
Hey, hey, hey, who you calling stinky! I bathe...most of the time. I guess I did set myself up by choosing that particular username
...the other white meat...
Yeah!!I'm not the only one! And thanks for the welcome!
If it makes you feel any better, I stink as well, and I blame the jungle water for that. There are 3 places in the jungle to bathe, and nobody wants to bathe with the hippos, too dangerous. Swietzer falls is also dangerous only because many boats like to take the plunge over the falls, and if you're standing underneath it with your soap on a roap and rubber ducky, you're a gonner. So, that leaves the Indian elephant bathing pool, and you're not gonna do much bathing there, so might as well smell like the jungle to give everyone a truely authentic jungle experience. Welcome aboard! Have a nose plug.![]()
Welcome to the neighborhood! You took the long route to get here, but I'm sure you'll find it was well worth the "miles".

What will you celebrate?
Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
Does WDW sell Mickey shaped nose plugs?
Well at least we'll be in the same boat, a Jungle Cruise boat, that is
I gather you're a Jungle Cruise and Mr. Bean fan? If so, you and I might be kindred spirits!
Thank you for the welcome and you're right it's been well worth the "miles". I just regret not discovering WDW before now but I'm glad I finally got the WDW spirit
Hey there neighbor! And thanks for the welcome and I'm already beginning to have fun. This seems to be a great forum!
Welcome, we have fun, play games and learn from the experts. Any question you can imagine can be answered by someone here- truly awesome folks. And we have a sarcasm thread (well, a couple of them) and much more, so welcome to learning and silliness and friends, in one great place. There are a few Ohioans around here, I have relatives in Ashtabula, but they come south to visit.
P.U.S.H.-A mantra MOST will not understand.
Disney rocks, Walt was a genius.
