Hi from Texas!
My wife and I have two girls - freshman in high school and freshman in college (University of Oklahoma, sorry Disney and Florida Gators...). We are transplanted northeners living in Houston, TX. We've visited the parks many times and listen to Lou's podcasts regularly. My first trip as a kid was to the Contemporary Resort right after it opened. Since then, I've grown up (but not old!) and our favorite trips were our honeymoon in January 1986 and Christmas 2007. Unfortunately the honeymoon trip in '86 was so cold for a few days that we couldnt stand to be in the parks, so we drove over to Cape Canaveral to watch a space shuttle launch. Yep, it was the Challenger that exploded, a very sad day. We'll never forget a big American flag in front of Space Ship Earth at half mast the next day. Starting with the honeymoon, we go every three years like clockwork. We used to camp at Fort Wilderness, which was awesome, but now stay at Port Orleans Riverside, which is more awesome! Can't wait to get back for another visit - maybe a quick weekend without the kids for me and my wife or maybe Mousefest 2009.
