    Welcome!

    I'm genuinely surprised Germany still has a ship-building industry on that scale. You are of course still an industrial power-house, and with a fabulous historical reputation for such work, but I had no idea there was still watercraft construction on the scale of cruise-liners. I had assumed Asia had long consumed the majority of work that big.

    My own ignorance I'm afraid! I was born in a ship-building city and currently live in another, so it has always interested me.

    Hi,
    I saw the Disney Dream yesterday. The ship left the building dock and is now at the pier. It's a wonderful ship. They had big firworks there yesterday. The "signal/horn" of the ship is " A dream is a wish your heart makes"

    I worked for NCLA for a while, my ship, The Pride of America, was constructed at Meyer Werft! She was the ship that actually sank during construction. What a lovely history
