Hello and welcome
Hi. My name is Rene. My husband and I live in Celebration, Florida. My first trip to Disneyland was in 1957 and I had dreamed of living in Disneyland ever since. When I grew up, I realized that actually living in Disneyland was not possible so imagine my excitement when Disney started work on Celebration, nestled right up to Disney World. My husband and I bought a small house and have rented it out ever since, waiting until we could retire. Well, October 2009 we were able to retire. We put our house in Oregon up for sale and in April 2010 we finally moved into our house in Celebration. Finally! I go to a different park every day to get my exercise. I powerwalk around the park and just enjoy the ambiance. In the summer, it was too hot for that so I went to Typhoon Lagoon each morning and powerwalked around Castaway Creek. Unexpected benefit: no more pain from osteoarthritis in my knees. I just found WDW Radio and listened to my first podcast and I'm in love! I hope to be active in the forums and the monthly meets.
