Hello and welcome! I am from New Jersey...and one day want to move to Florida.

Did not notice you in the chat...I probably cut out before the talk of NJ food...of which, to say the least, cannot be beaten...I am NJboyatNCstate in the box...will have to look out for you in the box this week!

Welcome Laura! I am new here as well, and am enjoying reading all the tips and having the opportunity to interact with others who get my infatuation with all things Disney (others just don't get it). I would love to move to FL to be closer to the world and have more frequent visits. It's an idea, but only an idea right now----need to finish school and get some other stuff taken care of before considering relocation. It is great that it finally is within a reasonably short period of time for your family (although I'm sure it feels like next month isn't soon enough!). Good luck with the job searches, etc. Also, I am not a runner by any stretch of anyone's imagination, but having recently learned of the Disney races, am considering that might be a good fitness activity to begin! How wonderful would it be to be running a race right through the middle of the magic! Congrats on your accomplishment! And again, welcome!

Welcome. My husband and I joke about moving to Fl. if (when) we win the lottery. I could probably find a teaching job, but my husband's business cannot just be uprooted and moved.

Good Luck in your quest to move to FL. I want to move there too if I can get Disney to hire me. If not hoping to win the lottery also and build a house in Golden Oak.

Wow! These comments are wonderful! Thank you so much! I am really lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of people.

We are hoping to find jobs soon. We can’t leave our jobs in NJ until we have a job lined up in FL. I am trying not to get discouraged in the job search. Hoping I won’t be overlooked for certain jobs because I am out of state. At this point, just hoping for the best! I keep repeating Walt Disney’s quote, “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It!”

I have been browsing websites trying to get advice on how to market myself via cover letter and resume to get my foot in the door with companies in FL while being out of state. So cross your fingers for me!
