Welcome fellow Illinoisan and likewise addict!
Hope you enjoy your time with us!
Hi, my name is Tracy, I live with my significant other Bill in Southern Illinois. He has Cerebral Palsy and uses a power wheelchair. He dragged me kicking and screaming to WDW for my first trip in February 2006. I was addicted from the first day.
We just love Toy Story Mania for its accessibility. I aim, Bill shoots, and we laugh like crazy.
Destination D will be my 9th trip and his 14th trip. We love D23, WDW, and anything Disney. We hope to go to Disneyland one day, but can't seem to plan it because we always have a Walt Disney World trip planned.
Welcome fellow Illinoisan and likewise addict!
Hope you enjoy your time with us!
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.
Welcome to the boards! Wow we sure are getting a lot of new people joining lately.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!
Hi from a former Saluki and resident of Murphysboro!
Thanks, I have really enjoyed the podcast so why not join the forum.
Thanks!
We are officially addicted to TSM!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to call of you!
Hi!! We live in Carbondale, sing it with me "It's a Small World after all" please don't shoot me, I had to sing it.
I had never been to WDW until Feb 2006. We went back Nov. 2006, Nov. 2007, June, Oct. & Nov. 2008 (evils of having an annual pass) Nov. 2009, and Nov/Dec. 2010. We froze to death the last trip, but he talked me into trying the same time period again this year.
Then Destination D was announced. I kept telling myself no, we were going on Nov. again, but that annual pass was whispering to me, you can go see Wishes, it was too cold in December to see it, go back to Disney, so I listened

Now that I am on my 11th post I can show what we look like. I am "pooh sized". Heck with it, I am overweight, I know it anyone that sees me knows it but it doesn't define me, it is not who I am and I am working on it.
Here we (Bill and me) are getting off TSM, a friend of ours was taking pictures even though I kept telling him how allergic to cameras I am:

Going during the winter months has been good to us in the past. Only one trip did it turn colder than we liked (and even that wasn't cold for midwest standards!) The thing we like about the winter trips is it's always warmer there than here, and you can spend the entire day in the parks without having to take an afternoon break in the air conditioned room. You'll have to let me know how Destination D is, I was a D23 member the inaugural year, but didn't renew. I miss getting the magazine, but alas with the husband out of work we had to cut back. Oh, and don't worry about being "pooh sized", us Disney fanatics come in all shapes and sizes!See you around town!
We have gone in the first couple weeks of November many times and loved the weather. This last trip we went Nov. 29 - Dec. 13th. We had a couple nice days and the rests were cold with a lot of wind. We were there for my birthday and D23's Magic and Merriment.
It included swag bags, presentations, the Candlelight Processional with Whoopi Goldberg, then over to DHS to have dinner on the Indiana Jones set, see the Osborne Lights privately with only about 200 other people, and got to tour Cinderella's Castle Suite. The tickets for these events are not cheap, but it was a once on a life time experience. Here are a couple of pictures:
