Any suggestions of what to do for a birthday surprise?

The birthday cake is always a nice surprise - who doesn't love cake?

There are several "special" things you could do as a family. You could organize a fireworks boat cruise on the lake, or rent a boat for the day and go out as a family. I'm not sure if they still have dessert parties for Wishes and Illuminations (pretty sure they do), but this is a great way to see the shows.

You could also give him an "experience" as a gift. If he is a golfer, WDW has great golf lessons at their courses (the courses are beautiful). I gave my boyfriend this as a gift during our last trip for being such a good trooper and putting up with all my obsessive planning! Or, if he's a NASCAR fan, you could give him the Richard Petty driving experience - I've never heard a negative thing about it. There's horseback riding at Fort Wilderness as well.

Does he have any specific interests??

Oh, and I'm from PA too - I may just stow away in your luggage when you take your trip!
