Welcome to the forums, Ethan!
Always good to have another Disney nut onboard.
Love your handle. I'm a huge fan of the Kona.
Greetings from Texas everybody! My name is Ethan S., and although it's probably been said a hundred-thousand times before, I am a true Disney Fanatic!Although I am fairly new to WDW Radio - I've been listening for about a year now - I had never taken the time to register for the Forums. Driving home this week after a short trip to Northern Indiana - yes, we DROVE
- I listened to about 10 of Lou's podcasts to pass the time. I was utterly enthralled with the segments and things I was learning. Always at the end of each podcast, I would hear the pitch for the Forums. Finally, I gave in, and it has been amazing to see that there truly are others "of my kind"
. I plan to be thoroughly involved in the Forums, and I hope to both give and receive great information about the wonderful place we all like to call our "Second Home". I try to get to Disney at least once every year; I made my last visit this past June. Can't wait to visit next year, and I hope to join a few threads in the next couple of days! See ya real soon, y'all.

Howdy andfrom a fellow Texan!
I noticed in your profile that you are into architecture and Imagineering. I too was in the architecture business for 30 years until I was finally layed off in Jan. of '09 from a firm that I was with for over 20 years. I have been in retail (working sometimes as many as 3 jobs at a time![]()
) ever since, but am now back doing part time contract work for my old firm, again. As, and if, things continue to improve, I will hopefully be back with them full time again soon-ish!
And, my dream too, is to one day work as a Disney Imagineer!
Anyway, welcome again, and hope you enjoy it here as much as we do!
BTW...
One of my, and MOST FAVORITE, of course, retail jobs is as a Lead Mgr. at our local Disney Store!![]()
The fix that helps me get through the time 'til our next trip...!![]()

I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.

Thanks so much mickeytoo!!! I too am hoping to get employment at the Disney Store or Barnes & Noble, (whichever comes first) to save up for a Half Marathon trip in 2015!! As you can tell, my age is hidden. However, I can tell you that I was very worried about being shunned by the other... fanatics... but the support and welcome I have been given by all has thoroughly astounded me!!! Therefore, I shall share my age with y'all. I was born in, yes 1998. I know what you might be thinking, "What the heck is this high-schooler doing on WDW forums?!"![]()
But! I joined out of love for Disney, and was hoping to find asylum here! I'm a young kid with huge dreams and a head jam packed with Disney Knowledge. Everybody has been so kind to me, and I hope that Disney will carry us all on! So, for those of you that have... more "life experience" than I do, know that I am here to learn about the wonderful place we all like to call home!
Once again, I can't believe the outpouring of kindness everyone has shown me, and I think that's just what Lou had planned when he created this place! Sorry for ranting, but know it was a "Rant of Joy"
. Thanks again, and I can't wait to participate and become more involved with these forums!

Welcome, Ethan! This is a great group, and I think age doesn't matter as long as there is a passion for Disney. :-)
