Maybe a little bit of HERE'S JOHNNY! Jack Nicholson popping out with an axe from the shining!
Now I'm sure this isn't true, but there are rumours going around about maybe taking out the ALIENS scene from The Great Movie Ride. And if they HAD to take out Aliens, I'd like to see it replaced with a scene from the original trilogy of Star Wars. Maybe the scen when Luke first fights Lord Vader and gets his hand cut off and is hanging onto the dangling antenna of Cloud City, and Lando saves him. What would you like to see?

It's amazing to think that this all started with one little mouse.

I think I heard Jim Hill say something a while back about Disney negotiating to use LOTR to replace Aliens.
Kramer vs. Kramer.
Ok, how about ALIENS (the second movie)?
LOTR would be cool, it deserves some love. An homage to the kung-fu movie genre would be nice. Or war movies, though I know they have the Casablanca section. Beatles/Elvis movies? Braveheart?
Battlefield Earth?![]()
Personally, I think it would be stupid to replace it - what's wrong with the ride now!?! There's always a huuuuuger line for the ride, so it's not like people don't see it. Nothing could compare to the way the ride is set up now, and I would literally cry if they changed it. I don't think any other movie scene would fit quite as well...
id love to see the classic exorcism scene in the exorcist where she pukes all over the guys in there..

Your 14 year old disney expert!
If I go crazy, will you still call me superman?
Even though they have already have this in the park, Star Wars would be cool.![]()

I don't think they should change it. Parents just need to smarten up and read the signs when it says that there are some scenes that may be frightening to some children. I think the purpose of the ride was to exhibit one movie or two from each genre.
Singin' in the Rain, Footlight Parade and Mary Poppins took care of the musicals. Public Enemy took care of the gangster genge...John Wayne in the Westers. Tarzan, Indiana Jones and Wizard of Oz for Adventure/Drama, Casablanca for Romance, Fantasia for Animation, ect. Alein took care of both the horror and sci-fi. Star Wars may fit in here for sci-fi if they do get rid of it, but LOTR is neither of these genres.
Upcoming Trips to WDW:
Dec 6-10: Disney Wonder
Dec 10-19: Port Orleans French Quarter
I d like to see Star Wars! The scene with Old Ben Kenobi and Dath Vader would be cool.
Then the Millenium Falcon could take off!

Where Magic Lives
"its a glorious three hour finale I call A Tribute to all Nations but Mostly AMERICA!"
"Now approaching Tomorrowland's Space Mountain"
Would need to be something else from a horror film. Went to a theme park in Germany where they had a very good Movies boat ride. The horror scene was from 'The Birds' and it was really creepy.
