    Re: Disney Pet Peeves

i just got another. this can go for other zoos(oh wait! animal kingdom is nahtazoo..whoops: )) i can't stand when people harass the animals, ex: yelling and screaming. ughh! so annoying. something else that annoyed me, which isn't neccessarily a peeve, is during the year of a million dreams i saw a group of about 6 people with some one in a wheelchair. as they walked in, they were all handed the all day unlimited fastpass. it was so frustrating because wouldn't they just get to go on the fastpass line anyway? (thats what happened to me when my family went to disney with someone in a scooter)

Actually, no. Most of the lines are wheelchair accessable, so wheelchairs and ECVs can fit through the queue line. There are a few attractions where the lines are not wheelchair accessable (mostly at MK and Epcot), so the wheelchair party would either have to go up through the exit (like for Big Thunder), go through FP, or go through part of the line then split off (like for Splash Mt and Small World).

To be honest it annoys me a tiny bit when people frown upon people who cant name the parks and attractions perfectly, I mean come on isn't it just a bit fenickety(sp). Just remember a lot of these people will not have visited as many times as a lot of us!

Even if they have been a few times who does it really hurt, we're all on holiday(vacation) and just trying to have a nice time its stupid to let something so meaningless annoy you.

I hate when my family and I just miss the bus to go back to our hotel and then the whole line gets backed up!

I totally agree with this one. On my last trip there was a big group just like this in line with us on Dinosaur. Two of the kids ran to get line in front of us, and proceeded to usher their buddies to stand with them. 20 kids cut in line in front of us! But the worst part is that the 2 adult chaperone's didn't stop them or scold them, and cut in line too!!!! I wish a CM would have saw this happen, but the ride broke down for a few minutes, and they were scrambling to get it back up and running.

Honestly, I think 2 adults for 20 10-14 year old boys boys is not enough. Does Disney have a standard for how many chaperone's per child? If not, they should.

Also, what is up with the smell of the monorail? Every time we got on (yes, different monorails in different cars) it smelled like someone had just changed their kids diaper in there. I don't remember them smelling that badly before.

This has been mentioned before....but I can't stand people who think Dreamworks movies are actually Disney movies and vice versa. And people who ***** up the names of the parks, or think rides from Universal are at Disney, etc.

My husband and one of my step-daughters are often guilty of this, and I take it as a personal insult because I'm obsessed with Disney and they should know better!

One other thing - when families go to Disney and care more about getting character autographs than the amazing attractions and ambience of the parks. You can take pin trading and autograph collecting a little too far, IMO.

I don't see what's so bad about meeting the characters and getting autographs. It's a really fun experience

I agree. It wasn't something I really cared about pre-child but now I know having that autograph book full of signatures is something he'll treasure as he gets older. That said however, I will say I miss the days where the characters freely roamed the streets and you didn't need a schedule and lines to meet them.
