Who took you first?

I dont know if this has been asked before but here it is. Who was the first person to take you Disney World.

The first person to take me to Disney World was a buddy I was stationed with in Jacksonville Fl when i was in the navy 1975

My first trip was in 1994. My mom and dad took me. We were visiting my grandparents in another part of FL, and they decided to drive to WDW. Since I was two, and had a short attention span, we only went to The Magic Kingdom for a day. I still remember how fun it was! We have a picture of me on my daddy's shoulders on main street. It's so cute!

My parents took me for the first time for there anniversary and my un birthday that we celebrated while there. They took me out of school to go, lol. But I had to write while I was there.

My parents took my 2 sisters and I, when i was younger!
My fathers favorite rides are Carousel of Progress and The Jungle Cruise.. to this day when Dad and I are in Disney together.. We ride them!

1971...October...two weeks after opening, my parents, my Grandmother and my sister all got in the car and drove the 30ish miles from Altamonte Springs...WHoo HOO I win for longest distance to have to go...LOL (and we forgot the camera...)

My husband took me on my first trip- our honeymoon. My sister and I begged our parents as we were growing up to please take us but I had to wait until I was 28! Consequently, I went back every year since except for this one. That first year we drove- yep, don't do that anymore.

83 We were in FL for a family reunion. My mom took us as Dad was stationed in Korea. I fell in love with Epcot.

My first trip was back in 1986 or 1987 (I can't remember- I was 1 1/2). It was my parents, my sister, and myself.

My story is pretty similar. I also begged and pleaded all throughout my childhood to go to WDW, but mom couldn't afford it. I had to wait for my honeymoon in my early 20s. My DH, who was born and partially raised in FL, not only took me there but was able to guide me quickly through the parks. I had my own version of "Tour Guide Mike" in my new DH.

As a result of that honeymoon trip, we bought into DVC and go as often as we can which works out to about 1.5-2 trips per year. Next trip in 8 days!

Oh my gosh! I want a DVC! I want a tour guide Mike too! My poor DH only went with me because I told him he either had to take me to WDW or Paris, his choice. Our next trip in February will be the first time he has gone back with me since that first trip. Now I am tour guide Mike. He is in for a treat! I always play second parent with a girlfriend of mine because her husband can't do park open to close for 10 days with us either.
8 days!

I visited WDW for the first time on my own when I was 20. I got excepted to do the college program and have been hooked ever since. Growing up our family vacations were to Morganton, NC to work on my Aunt and Uncle's Cow farm. Now I have gotten engaged there, Honeymooned there and also am a DVC member. I sometimes wish I had memories of WDW when I was a kid. Oh well at least I will be able to start new memories with my DW and DD. I am also our tour guide Mike. Even better is that is my first name.

YEAH---- My hubby took me. I want to go back again and again. He is too practical. Something about money and debt and eating.... Go figure!

We have both gone 5 times each. It is pretty cool!

My first trip was with my father and my 13-year old brother; I was 7 at the time. We had a caravan of about ten different families from my neighborhood, and everyone drove down Route 95 from New Jersey with their pop-up campers hitched to their cars. We would talk to our friends in the other cars on our cb radios, and that's how we coordinated food breaks, restroom breaks, etc.

My brother and I used to fight with each other alot (the way kids do, not like we were mortal enemies or anything; we get along great as adults, now). Instead of trying to always break up the fights, my dad had the ingenious idea of "allowing" us one fight a day. So, if my brother and I were going to start a fight in the car, we would then debate whether or not the issue was worth fighting over and using up our "allotment." By the time we finished debating, cooler heads prevailed. It made the 30-hours in the car quite a bit more tolerable....

My now DH, but BF @ the time, took me for my very first visit to WDW. It was Christmas time & needless to say, I never knew what I was missing until then. I'm a CA girl so I already loved DL but my love for WDW is a different story. I didn't experience WDW until I was into my 20's but better late than never!
