That might be really interesting!
That might be really interesting!
What is a Vault Disney ride? Is it a look back into old and classic Disney movies?

A scene with Zorro saving people then Davy Crockett killing a barr... This might make me ride this ride!
Okay that's what I thought. That will be cool now that it isn't MGM-Studios.

That's a great idea! Since there's so much material for them to use, it wouldn't be hard to do.
Or how many people remember the Scarecrow from Rominy Marsh?????
I think this would be a very good idea and this rumor has been floating around for a while. The interesting question is whether they should just add a section of the ride dedicated to Disney movies or whether they should just redo the entire ride.
There are some sets in the ride that are still relevant and terrific, like the Wizard of Oz portion, but several of the scenes like the "Alien" part are a little outdated and not as relevant anymore (I happen to be a big fan of Alien and Aliens but readily admit that they probably don't belong on the ride anymore).
I am a little torn about it plus there should probably be a re-tooling of the whole gangster/cowboy story line.
Thoughts?
I wondered about that too... that ride could use either a bit of an update or a retro treatment. Riding back through Bambi and the rest of the Disney classics could be a hoot, but I wouldn't be thrilled with a "Pixar" extravaganza. I haven't been in this area lately, but is the walk through tour of Disney animation areas still available, or has this gone to more of the Pixar presence?
I think if they add Zorro to the Western area, it would be really cool. I love the Rominy Marsh idea, but I don't think that enough people remember "The Scarecrow".

On a slightly askew note, I heard an interesting idea to turn the Fulton's Crab House boat in DD into a "Steamboat Willie" restaurant with the original Disney characters in their classic forms and films out of the vault viewable at tables. Sounds so coooool...
Sounds like a good idea to me too!

Wow, the GMR needs an update anyway. Cool as it is, you can only sit through those outdated movie clips so many times.
