Tom Sawyer Island Fantasy of Mine

Okay so im probably not the only one who has thought of this but i thought i'd bring it up. DISCLAIMER: this in no way means that i am legitimately thinking of attempting this. it was just an idea that i've had

so everyone wants to spend the night for free in Disney World, right? well since i was a wee lad, i always dreamt of spending the night on tom sawyer island. i think it would be a very plausible thing to do! seriously, all you'd have to do is find a good enough hiding spot so that nobody could find you, then go and sleep somewhere, wake up, catch the first populated ferry back over, and voila! you've done it.

i don't know, just a little fantasy of mine is all. sort of the inner tom sawyer, i guess. so how plausible do you all think this is?

I'm with you on this one, but I'm not sure it would be possible. I bet they do a pretty good sweep of the island at closing and at opening.

do you think they have sameras on the island? and they cant really do a perfect sweep every night.

i recently read a story about two brothers who did this at disneyland and stayed to watch the fireworks. apparently, they got scared and decided to swim back across and the oldest ended up drowning.

so i guess it proves that this can be done

If you wore a ghillie suit you could hide in plain sight! Ghillie

Edit: BTW, I'm not advocating bringing the accessory the guy in the picture is holding.

makes me wanna play some call of duty.

anyways, its not too practical to carry that into the park, plus changing in plain sight would be difficult. unless i have an insider who could leave it there for me...

i was thinking of hiding in a cave. isnt there a bridge in Injun Joe's cave that one could hide under? or i could somehow find my way into the animatronic scene in the fort and hide behind the horse. i guess i could always just climb a tree or something too

If you drink this http://www.beveragewarehouse.com/ima...ducts/6840.jpg it makes you invisible and you won't even need to hide. At least I think it makes me invisible.

I don't see why not, for the right price. At my zoo, we have sleep overs all the time and they are very popular.

Disney could sell a 100 tix of so, bring your sleeping bags, sell marshmellows and have campfire stories and maybe a late night ride on Splash Mountain.....

that would be awesome. or maybe reenact scenes from tom sawyer/huck finn.

all the more reason for me to find a way to sleep there.

There was a thread I saw while ago that talked about a hole in the wire mesh in the cave and they would stay there for awhile.

Hmmm.....I betcha they perform a head count of all the people that they bring over on the rafts during the day and that number has to match the number they bring back. To better your chances, there would have to be a way to get on (and off) the island without using conventional means. At any rate, my curiosity is peaked. I would enjoy reading about attempts at accomplishing this.
