After going to both in various years, I tend to prefer MNSSHP to MVMCP.

I would probably like the Halloween party more, but would love all th eparks in Christmas decorations. Halloween gets my vote.
I have been to both in recent years. The Halloween party was a lot more fun.
I was at the Christmas party at the beginning of December in 2008. I found the crowds to be absolutely crushing. I think there were a lot of people there that didn't pay. It was cold, so everyone had jackets on. I'm not sure if there was a lot of checking for wristbands. This really bothered me about the Christmas party. Although, I did enjoy the castle stage show and the snow on Main St.
I attended the Halloween party the end of September in 2007. I felt that castmembers did a much better job of herding people out without wristbands. I also really, really enjoyed Hallowishes and the parade. My little one really enjoyed the trick-or-treating. In my opinion, the Halloween party is definitely worth the extra money.
Although the Christmas party is fun ---- I love, love, LOVE the Halloween party!!
The decorations are amazing, trick-or-treating is fun, and the costumes that people think of are out of this world!!
The fireworks are some of the best I have ever seen in the park, the parade is my all time favorite ---- but the best thing of the night is the Headless Horseman racing down the street!! That alone is worth the price of admission!

Yes you can see the fireworks/parades at the end of the park just make sure you have the wristband on for when they kick out the reg. guests. (My family did it for the Halloween party)
As for the Forum Topic. I SOOOO like MNSSHP much better then MVMCP.
MVMCP I had watered-down not-so-hot coco, and a really bad tasting cookie.
MNSSHP you get endless amounts of candy, and dress-up with out looking like a freak.
plus the fireworks/parades are way cooler for Halloween then X-mas.
Faith is my name, disney is my...obsession
Since Pluto is no longer a planet. I think Mickey should be the new one.
We went to the Halloween party last year for the first time and loved it!
Have only done MVMCP, so that is my favorite, so far...
I've done both (and will be doing both this year). But I prefer mnsshp over mvmcp.

I think they both are completely equal and have the perfect setting for the season... but due to the fact that I love christmas wayyyy too much (christmas 365/366) (and the fact that you probably will do the other holiday activites in the other parks) i'd pick MVMCP.
The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!
