The ride didn't but the castmember did; We went to a readmission line due to a previous break down and Chris a cast member, totally in character told us to go to the door but don't touch anything, we misunderstood him and opened the door. He yelled (in charactar) don't touch anything. wow scared us death. We saw him later in the day and said Hi scary Chris and he just turned to us smiled and winked. Great memories.
Nope, not at all

How funny! My daughter's first time through the Haunted Mansion was when she was 4. She screamed and cried from start to finish. It was okay though, her screams seemed to fit right in. That ride is the only thing she remembers about that trip.
FYI: if you take the behind the scenes tour of the Magic Kingdom, you'll get to tour the workings of the Haunted Mansion.
Well...On my first trip in 2004, I was crying, and wouldn't open my eyes. It wasn't that it WAS scary, it's just it was dark, ominous, and I didn't know what to expect. However, my 2008 trip I think I rode it 4 or 5 times, and I really enjoyed it...The humor, the effects, everything. However, it's a different kind of scary now that I understand it a little more, and understand the backstories and the legends that surround it. Rather creepy. Pirates can be creepy sometimes with those legends. Otherwise, no, not really....The tombstones that shake, and the pop up ghosts can be a little close sometimes!
The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!

Are you 23? I am!
It never scared me until I went into other haunted houses in carnivals - then for awhile I was afraid someone was going to jump out at me like they did in those, especially after my Dad told me the story of them having a guy in a suit of armour jump out at him at the one in Disneyland! He said he punched the guy and he didn't last long as a feature there... but it still worries me to this day that they might bring him back!
the ride dont scare me.. the cast members do...lol the getting to the ride is scarier for me![]()
