    Question 3-D Glasses

My mom thought it would be cool one year and stole a whole bunch of 3-D Glasses thinking that they would be useful somehow besides decor. Has anybody else stole glasses? ...we almost got caught when hopping parks, but it would have been interesting to see what the security guard would have done with like 20 pairs of glasses

I've never taken 3D glasses from the parks, but have brought home the black plastic 3D glasses from the movie theater. My DD will put white tape around the nose bridge of the glasses, take out the lenses, and just wear them for kicks.

Love that - great costume idea!! Might be useful for MNSSHP...

Can't imagine why 20 pairs of glasses... We're they collected all at once or gradually?

Also, I've never stolen any glassess - as with NC_WDW_Daddy my collection (8 pairs) has come from movie theatre 3D glasses but you purchase them with your ticket. I've distributed a few extras to friends and family for them to re-use and kept a couple of pairs for my DH and I to use (get money off the ticket price if you do).

They were all the same year. We have the yellow from Philarmagic, black with antenae from It's Tough to be a Bug, Green from Muppets, and puple-ish from Honey I shrunk the audience. I think we had about twenty when we hopped to EPCOT, but I didn"t count how many total we have. Mostly, they sit on the ledge in our basement where we keep all the mcdonald's Disney toys and our lithographs are hung. They really have no other use. My mom thought we would be able to use them for 3-D movies like spykids, but...not even close lol. But yes we got them all the same year.

and how exactly did you feel about having a hoard of 3D glasses...?

considering now it is known (thanks for the tip) that they dont work for any home 3D movies...

    Re: 3-D Glasses

I personally don't mind them too much because it was at least four years ago but I didn't enjoy taking them either. It was all my mom's idea anyway. I mean I was between 13 and 15 years old at the time.

If you have 20 pairs, they don't work anywhere and you're not doing anything with them, it may be time to throw 19 of 'em away.

I think I know exactly what the security guard was thinking during the bag check. And seeing as how they're free, you wouldn't get "caught" for anything
