I've had it happen at times, but it's usually very brief and I couldn't exactly identify the smell.
Haven't had the musty water thing happen, though.
Lou would be proud.![]()
This is random, and I was curious if anyone else has this happen. There are random smells that you hit in your daily life that sends you right back to WDW. I had that happen to me today on my way to work, as you can tell, it was the musty water small from Pirates. Driving down the highway I was sent from my car into a boat and I wasn't on my way to work anymore. Does anyone else have this happen to them? If not it's ok, I'm cool with being the only one.![]()

I think I got it from Lou. LOL!! If so I won't take credit for it.![]()
You did. It was in the Top "Ten" Smells At WDW podcast, many moons ago.
Scott
No, you are NOT the only one!
I've posted on the threads many times over the last few years about my old cars AC delivering that same musty smell for about the first 30-40 seconds after I turn it on!
And yes, there are MANY other smells I run across on a daily basis that transport me immediately to WDW!![]()

I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.

I'm gonna' HATE when I finally have to get rid of that old car, if for no other reason than that...!![]()

You still might get it!! My car is just a little over a month old and this is the first time I've smelled it. It might have been the car in front of me on the highway I guess, but I really don't care. I'm secretly hoping that it happens again!! lol
I think I'll pass on the taste, the smells can just keep coming.
yes it has happen to me. and i like it. only because i think of WDW when it happens.
I was in an massive AMC theater in N. IL and when we got up to the upper level in the hallway the entire hallway smelled just like the lobby of Port Riverside. It had to be the carpet freshener or rug cleaner but I didn't want to go into the theater. I was transformed into my happy place.Worse we saw Pooh and I'll never get that hour of my life back.

Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.
Friends are Gods way of apologizing to us for our families.
I'm a huge Pooh fan, but haven't seen the new one yet. I admit the overall quality has been going down over the years. The Tigger Movie was the last really good one, IMO.

I was getting gas, and the smell reminded me of the grand prix race cars.
I didn't hate the last Pooh movie, it was mind numbingly simple at times but I thought there were some witty moments in it that made it worth watching. I don't think anything can live up to the original but it certainly was better than efforts made in the last couple of years.
As for the musty water smell... There was/is an old mall in Austin that had a water feature that very much fostered that smell. You may be able to find it in a bunch if places, but it always brings back to WDW.
