plans for a Disney ski resort in california around the time Disney was buying land for Walt Disney World but after Disney died the Disney Company decided they couldnt handle two big projects at once so began Walt Disney World and ended The ski resort. I love skiing and would have loved to see this happen what about you?

I would love to see this happen! I'm an avid skier and Disney could do a really great job with this. Probably have an indoor water park similar to Blizzard Beach too.

Yep, that was Mineral King.
The resort was to originally have a bear show that later became known as Country Bear Jamboree.
I always like to look on the optimistic side of life, but I am realistic enough to know that life is a complex matter.

And when the Country Bears opened at the MK, it was an "E" attraction.
Some people are like Slinkies.
They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Its a great idea for a DVC resort. I would also like to see one near a major national park

i think they should make one in maine. its very barren there and mountianous so they would have plently of land

Colorado would be such a perfect place for this type of resort. I mean they have Aulani in Hawaii now, so it seems that they could do a good job making a hotel. If they partnered with a Ski Resort, they could then use that mountain and make their own themed hotel. I doubt they would be able to make their own trails, pretty sure all the mountains have been carved out.
