    Imagineering Books

I was thinking about reading a Disney Imagineering book and came across - Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind the Dreams Look at Making More Magic Real. Has anyone on the boards read the book? If so, what did you think?

    Re: Imagineering Books

I have that book and its pretty good. I would recommend reading it. It goes into how Disneyland started and moves on to The World from there. It has a ton of old concept sketches that have come to life in the parks. Well worth your time!

Thanks. I found one in a local bookstore so I will go check it out and pick it up. Might inspire me to build a Disney scene or monorail in my backyard. Will need something to do in retirement in a few years.

    Re: Imagineering Books

If I count right and nothing changes, about 2 years and 5 months to my first retirement. I'll likely take some time off and then start working again doing something fun or just contract myself out so I can travel some.
