Hurricane Wilma

Hey guys, just letting everyone know, whoever's going to WDW this weekend or week, you might be visited by a special person by the name of Wilma. That's right folks, we have a "W" storm, and it's passing Cancun right now as a catagory 4(worst is a 5) so Disney MAY be in the path of this powerful storm. Good news is, they expect it to be a catagory 1,2 or possibly a 3 when it hits florida(hey BETTER than a cat. 4 or 5!!!!!!) it's heading straight for South Florida(which is where SOME, including me, of our members live.) so guys, please hope for the best for florida and WDW! yea me too! I have to put up shutters tomorrow!(ew) yea. most of the "new" schools(like mine) round here can withstand up to 170mph wind speeds now and they have hurricane proof windows(but some don't!) like the old schools(over 30+ years old) now i'm not saying 30 is old, i'm saying it's old for a school, not people. lol

Hehe... silly hurricane. As of right now, I'm still planning on visiting WDW Sunday. Who's up for it??? Woot!

I (or we... as Floridians in general) weathered what, 4 of these last year? I evacuated from school twice, and missed two weeks of school as a result. Wilma is not taking me away from my very much needed Disney Day.

Although preparations are already going into effect, even here on the east coast of FL. My school has already grounded all flight activities as of this evening, and is prepping to evacuate the fleet in the morning. They're evacuating them all to Huntsville, Alabama. Should be kinda cool watching sooooo many airplanes leaving all at once. Maybe I'll go out there and watch...

But I'm all for missing a couple days of school for a neat little hurci-party!

Looks as though Cancun is taking the brunt and slowing Wilma down. They are now saying that it shouldn't reach Florida until Monday and that hopefully it will only be a category 1 by then. That's a MUCH better outlook than what they were originally saying!

My classes got cancelled for monday and tuesday so I will be around in the parks as long as disney doesn't close. I plan on having some fun all weekend. :-)

first New Orleans.. and now Cancun.. taking the brunt ain't even the word for what's going on down there.. that "party" city has literally STOPPED a hurricane from going anywhere. I'll be amazed if it isn't Andrew all over again down there.
