Didn't Disney start with a red computer? It was like a normal monitor with black "ear" speakers. How new is this blue one?

You may be thinking of the television set they had out a year or two ago. It was red with black speaker ears and yellow feet that were removable if you wanted to put it on top of the matching DVD or VCR. Personally, I think it was a better designed product than the blue computer, at least in appearance.

I just don't find this Disney Computer very practical at all... It is highly overpriced, and if I am going to spend money just to say I spent it on "Disney" stuff then I will add some extra character dinners on a vacation. Kids usually get the hand-me-down computer from the parents, so I would be interested to know how many of these they have actually sold.
Just my 2 cents...

My DS6 loves it! The colors are perfect for him (Buzz Lightyear colors).
I preordered the computer and received a $200 gift card for Disneydirect.com. If I wasn't getting the $200 gift card, I wouldn't have purchased due to the cost.
It is cute and very kid friendly. DS2 likes it as well.

Question: What's the pen(in the keyboard) for? It looks like one of those pens on the Leapfrogs.
Comment:Is it just me,or does the monitor look really.....flimsy looking?![]()

The pen is an alternate to using the mouse. This works well when my son is trying to "paint" something.
Just an FYI that he monitor isn't a touch screen.

My DH bought me the original red portable DVD player. It's really cute & has the red/black/yellow disney look, but it doesn't play very well. Sometimes it gets "stuck" & you have to stop the DVD & start it over... especially if you're starting to watch your second movie. We travel a lot though so I really enjoy it, till it starts freezing up....![]()
