What's the first thing you do?

Ok, when I arrive at WDW, the first thing I do is I plant myself on the bed and turn on the TV to watch the special WDW info. program at leat 10 times in a row.

What are your beginning-of-the-vacation traditions?

It depends on the time.

If i arrive morning up until the afternoon, i unpack, have a swim in the resort pool then visit the Magic Kingdom for the evening parade and firework show.

This trip i will arrive aroung 7pm, so it will be quick shower, forget the unpacking and get to MK as quick as i can for parade and fireworks. Nothing beats that first time when you walk into MK and see the castle from Main street, the smells, the excitment, it brings tears to my eyes and im glad that im there with the people i love.

*LOL*....I turn on the Disney channels to listen to everything once or twice as well while we unpack!!!! We go to Downtown Disney and I go to the Basin to buy some of the Bath Bombs to use the rest of the week. When we go to the MK for the first time we take a large hop onto Main Street just under the train station. This has been a great tradition with my husband and myself to "leave reality" behind and enjoy the magic! (The last two items were suggestions from AllEars.net that we fell in love with!)

Well, last time we got there, the very first thing we did was fall unconious on the bed 'cause we didn't get there 'till 3:00 in the morning. X_X

usually it's right as we're driving onto the property...my brother and i start jumping up and down in the car when we see the Walt Disney World sign with all the characters on it so that you know you are officially there! um, then we check into the hotel and depending on the time we'll either go to downtown disney and walk around/ have lunch or try to fit in a park if we're there early enough.

Its all about the time of arrival! If we get there in the morning, we check in, unpack, eat then its off to Magic Kingdom. But if we get there later in the day we do all that but we go to Downtown Disney and save a full day for the parks the next.

If i get there late, i jump on the bed & watch the special disney show they've got on their tv. If it's early enough to head to a park, I go straight to magic kingdom & hit Main street USA! I just love the feeling I get as I walk under the train
