Miscellaneous Discuss MK official Name in the News & Rumors forums; Has anyone noticed that the official name is just The Magic Kingdom. Does anyone else think it should be changed to Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom....

    MK official Name

    Has anyone noticed that the official name is just The Magic Kingdom.


    Does anyone else think it should be changed to Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom.

    I dunno. I just doesn't have that ring to it.
    Plus... unlike AK and Studios... you could just say "Magic Kingdom" to any random non-fanatic and they'd know what you are talking about. You can't really do that with AK or Studios.

    ... plus... i really don't like change.

    Not particularly....it's been Magic Kingdom for 35 years and it is Walt Disney World after all.

    Nah, leave it as Magic Kingdom.... Most people still call Magic Kingdom Disney World or Disneyland.. So changing it to something else would totally confuse the already confused...
