Coming Soon--New WDW planning video/DVD?

Anyone have a guess, or better yet, know when the new WDW planning video will be out? I hope they offer a DVD like they have for the past couple of years. It is so much better in quality compared to the VHS tape. The VHS tapes the past couple of years have been grainy and the sound is not too good, IMHO.

I just got the pricing guide(when I picked up my tickets) for all the 2005 packages so the DVD souldn't be far behind

Okay, does anybody besides me collect these? I found a REALLY old one at a garage sale once for 25 cents. I grabbed that thing like it was gold. The lady who was having the garage sale said to me,
"That is really out of date. If you are planning a trip you can call Disney and they will send you an up to date one." Like I didn't know that. I just smiled sweetly and said, "Thank you, I'll do that."

we collect the tapes too. just started getting the DVD's. am all ready to send for the new one. thought that I was the only one who held on to these. I use them when I need a Disney moment and know that the trip is long ways off.

Oh my no, I would guess most of the tapes/DVD ordered are by Disney fanatics. I even have one from DL, which may have been the last issued. I love watching the old ones and seeing the lost rides and attractions. I got hooked on the tapes when I got one from GM that was promoting World of Motion many years ago. What is interesting is how PC Disney has gotten over the past few years. There was a time you could not see a person of color, except maybe in the background; now it seems Disney covers all the racial/ethnic bases and makes sure all have speaking parts. I doubt, however, if Disney will ever have racial/ethnic specific tapes/DVD even though they do have different versions if you are single, married with children and/or grandchildren, and like my DW and I right now--empty nesters. I can't wait to order the grandparents one next year, even though we will not be taking our grandson to WDW until 2007 or 08.

I have not only the WDW tapes, but I have the Cruise Line tapes, and I have a Disney Institute tape. I'm just sad that the Disney Institute closed before I got the chance to enjoy it. There were several of the classes that I would have loved to take. I agree that they are great to pop in to the VCR on a day like today when it is cold, wet, and dreary. In fact, I think I will go get me a blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and turn on the VCR. Catch you later!

I just saw a NEW commercial for a WDW vacation planning video, The shot they show of the materials looks like a new vid!!! also they mention "The happiest Celebration on Earth" It was on the travel channel at 11:40 am today January 2, 2005!!!

I called Christmas day after seeing a commercial during the Christmas Parade to get the video/DVD....I am wondering if this is the same as you ordered or if I have to order a new one....whichever,I am getting quite excited about all the new changes that are happening...hope that the information is a little clearer than what I have read on some of the sites...I find it confusing at times....does it mean that the parkhopper passes are not going to be available anymore? We like to go from park to park and am wondering if we are going to be able to now.

Here's the information about the new "Magic Your Way" Tickets on the Disney website: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index . You can add on a "park hopper" option.

I am willing to bet you will get the 2004 video or DVD. You will have to order the 2005 one at the end of this month as per the e-mail I received today, the 3rd.

As far as tickets are concerned, I think Disney wants it to be confusing so you will not do the math and find out the ticket prices have indeed gone up and not down as they would like you to think. Yes, there will still be parkhopper tickets, but you will pay a premium for them, as well as for tickets that never expire.

P.S. Welcome back to the board, you haven't posted for quite awhile.

thanks for all your help...after re-reading the information, Jiminy, think that you are right....it is confusing....knew that the prices had gone up from Mouseplanet...so did Seaworld tickets....
