What is your mode of transportation to get to Walt Disney World? Car, plane? How long does it take you?
t took us 15 hours to get home from Florida to Pennsylvana!
20-30 mins by car, depending on traffic and which way I take (I-4 or 417)
well, I drive to the airport which takes about an hour and a half, then a 3 hour plane ride
30 minutes to airport 5 hours on plane and thats including a plane change
It's a 2.5 hour non-stop flight from either Philly or Baltimore. The drive to PHL (35-45 minutes) is shorter than the drive to BWI (60-90 minutes).
I have no desire to drive to WDW.
Let's see, if I crawl out of bed at 6:00 am, I can be having a 1:00 lunch at Le Cellier. That's pretty fast from Indianapolis to Epcot!
It's more fun to have a winter to summer change in 2 hours time when you step off of the plane.
Well normally it's car and if I'm in Celebration, it takes about 5 minutes. If I'm in Lakeland at school, it takes about 30-40 minutes. If I'm home in Wisconsin, it takes 20 minutes to the airport, and then a 2 and a half hour plane ride, and depending on how long it takes to get luggage (if i have any) and if I'm taking my car or a cab... yeah. More often than not it's Celebration or school.
18-19 hours by car. Arkansas roads are terrible!!
About 2 hours to drive to the airport, then an 8 hour flight, then another hour to drive from Sandford to Disney. Plus all the hanging around you do at airports, then take away the time difference...
Confused yet? Next year we leave at 12 noon UK time and arrive just after 4 Florida time, so we plan to go to the resort, check in and then go straight off to Epcot for Illuminations. I find if we do that then the jet lag isnt too bad!
We leave home and travel by car 1hr to airport, spent 2hrs mandatory waiting prior to boarding plane and then fly to Los Angeles or San Francisco takes about 16hrs then change planes to go to Orlando and then the trip to the WDW resort and finally travel via disney transportation to my favourite place....mmmmickey's!
All up over a full day's travel but on the way over due to the date line we arrive the same date as we left....going home then "really" takes two full days as one gets lost on the trip back over the date line.
Try convincing the kids "we're nearly there"...it's always worth it and I envy all of you who can decide on a whim to travel all night and be in the world by opening time. If only!
For me it's about a 20 minute drive to the airport. The flight is always 2 hours.
If we drive it takes two and half days. By plane, it takes about seven hours not to mention that the closest airport is four hours away.
