Yes, you can. I've seen parents do this all the time. My DH and I bring in our own gatorade, water, & snacks quite frequently.
I wouldn't bring an entire cooler of food and drink to feed the Tribes of Jacob though...
yep i packed her cup sand snack and we had water bottles when we went... snacks are a great thing to have to take their mind off waiting in line or waiting for a parade or something
Bring snacks and a couple of small toys with you too. Anything to keep the little ones entertained!!
I've packed our entire lunch before..they never seem to mind.
I always bring granola bars, goldfish crackers, and an apple or two as well as sippy cups and pacifiers into the park with us to keep my toddler happy
Brought in bottled water the other day, no problems at all.
My family contends that I bring enough into the parks that I could move in permanently. I don't usually bring much food, but I do like to pack a small bottle of water for emergencies; especially when the temperature is really up there. (Besides, ya gotta be prepared should Cindy decide to move out the castle and there's an opening.)
You can bring in as much food and drink as you want, as long as it's not so much that you look like you'll be selling any to other guests.
The only restrictions are no glass containers (except baby food jars), no alcohol, and no hard-sided or rolling coolers. But you can bring in a 5-course meal for 10 people if you want to. It's absolutely 100% permitted. You won't be sneaking food past the security CMs doing the bag checks in front of the turnstiles. They see all the food and drink. It's not like they let you go with a wink and a nod... it's absolutely permitted.
if you do bring in sippy cups or bottles, just a friendly warning, squirrels have been known to run off with open bottles or sippy cups that have been left OUT on strollers or on top of a bag. If you'd like to keep your sippy cups or bottles please put them in a zippered bag when you leave a stroller anywhere or if you put it on the bench next to you, watch it!
We brought a backpack FULL of snacks into the parks all 6 days we were there. There were 6 of us ( 2 adults, 3 teens and 1 pre-teen ) and when we would eat we would order only 3 - 4 meals b/c of the portions and b/c we did'nt want to be walkin' around the parks all bloated-up in the heat after eating all that. The one exception was when we went to the Coral Reef for our DD's " Sweet Sixteen " birthday dinner ( the celebration AND the food were great! ). And even then we could'nt finish our dishes and so we had the rest for dinner the following night! The other thing we did was to just ask for a cup of ice water at any of the eateries. They happily gave it to us every time whether we were eating there or not. And they gave us the 24 oz. cups and we just got them refilled whenever we wanted anywhere along the way! I know the money we saved by doing these things more than paid for our DD's " Sweet Sixteen " $200+ dinner at the Coral Reef!!!
I've never had any trouble bringing food in. We had lots of little ones with us on our last trip so we brought snacks for them.
I need an update on this....I'm leaving in 10 days :mickeykid:yahoo:. Anyone recently brought a bag of sandwiches/ lunch in?
We took snacks and small water bottles and had no problems.
Sure - nothing beats a baggie of cheerios or the like to occupy little ones in longer lines
