I love this thread. I see people doing some of the same things I do and got some new ideas. We rarely do any dining plan except the counter service because my two daughters don't eat enough for us to invest the money into so many table service meals. I use one snack option every day for breakfast: a bagel and cream cheese, cereal, fruit and dip etc. and I still have another per day to use during the days.
Another money saving idea: I never spend my change. I always give bills then get the change and put it into a jar. It's called our Disney jar and all of us put change into it.
My cousin suggested shipping a bunch of snacks beforehand to our hotel and they will hold it there. So I'm going to ship granola bars, goldfish crackers, raisins, etc...I am not sure how much these things cost at the resort (Pop century) but I'm guessing it works out cheaper to just ship the items - especailly the way my kids go through snacks.
