Hi Everyone,
I returned from a trip last week, and I was thinking of something while I was down there:
What could you do on a trip to Walt Disney World for free?
I have a couple of ideas that I'll post below, but I'm interested to see what else everyone can come up with.

Park @ Downtown Disney and take a bus to any resort that doesn't restrict pool access (I believe the Beach Club and Boardwalk require wristbands).
Go ahead and enjoy the pool and towels on the house!
I would explore all the deluxe resorts and enjoy some of their pools. Also I would try to do the more interesting forms of transportation: the monorail, friendship boats, seven seas ferrys, etc.

We always take at least one day while at WDW to do really nothing. We hang at the pool for a while and check out our resorts gift shop. It's a day of just relaxing. But the other thing we like to do is just what Nicks10 said, check out the deluxe resorts. Fun is what you make of it. But there is a lot to see. We've just chilled out on the monorail and took it for the whole loop too.
You can take the kiddos to Downtown Disney for:
1. Building Legos for free @ the Lego Store
2. Trade Pins @ Disney Pin Traders (Have to have pins from before)
If you're staying at the AKL you can do a lot of free arts and crafts projects for free. Really great for 5-9 years olds, I'm pretty sure you can do them all without staying at AKL as well.
I enjoy going around and collecting the Transportation Cards.
Enjoy live music in the Disney Resort lobbies and bars:
- Piano Player (Grand Floridian)
- Cover Artist (Port Orleans French Quarter)
- Etc.
We discovered Club Cool at Epcot last year and had a blast trying all of the different sodas! :drink: A place to get free, cold drinks!? Ya gotta love it!! We still talk about that and can't wait to "test" them again! We are keeping the Beverly a secret from our family that will be traveling with us this October for their first time in many years! ;)
There are a number of places outside MK from which you can enjoy Wishes, complete with the soundtrack. I know they play it at TTC, and I've heard they play it on the beach at the Poly. Follow an earlier suggestion to park at DTD and take Disney transportation and you don't even have to pay the parking fee (what is it, $12 now?).
You can drink a lot of free beverages (if you have the resort mugs)
Coffee, hot chocolate, you could have a tea party on Disney's dime. And of course soda. You could get your kids all sugared up on free soda. If you're sly you can get unlimited condiments too. And crackers. Don't get me started on free crackers.
How about a marathon game of hide-and-seek in the resort of your choice? For advanced players you could include several agreed on resorts which are adjacent to each other. For example; you could have people hide in any of the 3 All-Star resorts. By using cell phones or walkie-talkies you could alert your group when someone was found. I could go on and on.

Roller blading (inline skating) is absolutely free and there are great trails in Fort Wilderness and around Wilderness Lodge.
When my family and I went and stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds back in 2005 it was because my dad's job had him go to Florida for work and said they would pay for where ever we stayed, so we took our RV and stayed at the campgrounds for 3 weeks, we didn't have tickets to the parks so we stayed around the campgrounds and then I bought a book, Hidden Mickeys by Steven Barrett, and for the first full week we took the buses to all the resorts and hunted for Hidden Mickeys! we had a blast!
then my parents surprised us with tickets to the parks... we were really happy campers after that! (pun inteeded)
