I only got a $15 dollar gift card! Great offer!
I have my cell phone as an automatic payment each month to my credit card to help rack up points.

Thanks! I passed on the card twice during my last trip down there, and nealy fell for the neat bag they were giving away at DTT. I actually almost drove back down just to get the card. Over the summer, I received an oversized mailer at my home, offering a $100 gift card after the first purchase on the card. And sure enough, two weeks after I used it, I received the card in the mail. It's in with my Disney paperwork and will be packed in my carryon for my trip next week!
The best way to track special offers is the Disney Rewards website.
The photos at Epcot and DCA are great.
The Disney Visa pins are usually pretty good.
The 6 months no interest on Disney Vacations is helpful. We used it on our cruise, etc.
Thanks! Just bookmarked the link!
Well, here's the downside of the Disney Visa. I have one and paid for our September 2009 trip with it. I used the 6 mos same as cash option and paid it off with my income tax return. in February. Chase sent me a letter informing me that they cut my credit limit. It wasn't a small reduction either, it was a 75% cut. Now I don't even have enough of a credit limit to even book a Disney Trip. I can't even take advantage of the 6 months same as cash option anymore. I have never been late on a payment ONCE with it. I even used it enough in the past to have $80 in Disney Reward Dollars. I haven't cancelled it yet but I am considering it.
Yes, I heard about this too. I am planning a trip in June and will be using my points. I am very glad that I signed up for it, it will be saving me some money.
So I got in on the $200 card offer back in the spring. I knew we were headed to The World for marathon weekend and it sounded like a great way to have some free spending money to enjoy around property. I've also heard about the photo op, which is a nice 'freebie'. But I guess I'm still fuzzy on specifics.
1. Do I have to order my reward card in certain increments ?
2. About how far in advance do I need to put in for my reward card ?
3. Where and when is the character meet in Epcot ?
4. Anything else you Chase veterans can tell me about the card and its benefits ?
TIA.
You can get all of your rewards on the same card. In fact, has you earn more credits, you can have them loaded onto the same card. I believe we put in for our reward card and got it 6-8 weeks later. We use our chase to get 6 months, no interest on Disney vacations. I hope this helps.
Points take forever to accumulate. Unlike my other cards, where I get one point for each dollar I spend, this one gives you a dollar for every hundred. I'm almost at 30 points now, which is going towards a character meal at the parks.
i just found out Chase closed my account with no notification. i only had it for 2 months and never made a late payment. i have yet to call to find out why. but im bummed. better off anyways card was 20% interest thats crazy high.
I've considered paying mine off completely and only using it to book vacations. I've heard that Chase has dropped credit limits to $500 and I'm afraid that they'll drop my limit again.
I know this is a bit of a "dormant" thread and most of the info about the Chase Visa has already been covered, but I'll add a bit.
First, IMO the card is a fantastic way to get free Disney spending money, but only if you pay it in full every month. You all know your cash flow constraints best. Our family uses this card *a lot* but we pay in full every month. We get to Disney about once a year and we have several hundred free "Disney Dollars" with us.
On another note, I got a survey from Chase asking about this card; seems Chase/Disney is considering a "premium" brand of this card, with a $49 annual fee (current card has no fee). This card would offer 2% back on gas, groceries and dining charges, PLUS Disney parks spending. For us, this might easily cover the annual fee and get us some additional Disney dollars.
