I have not done this, but I read other posts where psople used their Rewards dollars towards tickets and resort packages.
I know that you can use your Disney Visa reward dollars like cash on things in the Parks, but can you apply those reward dollars paying for your actual trip? Has anyone ever done this?

We used Visa card points for a 2007 trip. We booked with AAA. We had to order our point card thru Visa and AAA processed the card. It worked just like using cash.

I haven't used mine yet but am planning on it. I vaguely remember a drop down option when you go into your Disney account and make a payment for using a Disney Rewards Card. Gift Cards are also acceptable forms of payment (I used gc's to pay my entire trip last time) and can be applied online to your reservation.
This is a great question. Thanks for the greater answer.
In winter,if you never owned even one pair of elephant paws ,it's really a pity.

We used our points for our vacation package. When it got to trip, we used the remaining points on the speed boats on bay lake. There was a coupon buy 60 min. get 30 min. free.
Our 3 older children took a 30 min. turn with dad. The kids had a blast and my husband enjoyed boating around the lake. We had enough points to pay for exactly the whole cost. If not for the points we probably wouldn't of spent the money!
Disney World is not just a place, but an experience.
