I found out this was true AFTER my last visit to the world. I think it was about $25 cheaper if you bought before you went. I looked all over the photo site and couldn't find any info on this....anyone else know anything about it?

From what I understand, Disney has now changed how you preorder Photopass now. Before you could go to their site and preorder it, now I was told that you get a special email from Disney about preordering it and only those that booked directly with Disney are getting the email not people that use a travel agent. Seems kinda stupid to me. I think they are going to loose money this way. I was going to preorder before my last trip and since I couldn't I didn't buy the CD then.
what i bummer... really it will be their loss
i would have liked to have it this time..oh well
I do believe that you can pre-order for around 99, regular price is 125.
My little tidbit is that the last time we did this, if you did a photo sitting at the Grand Floridian, it was included on the photo cd and was included in the purchase price.
So... a half hour family photo sitting around the GF, all your photopass pictures for 99?
It was soooo worth it because then YOU own the photos!
I just was online and the prepay cost is 99...regular price is 150:
yep and now you cant get the photo shot at the GF included..
which photo shot? ill be there @1900 park fare for the character breakfast.
they have it where you can get a private photo sessions on the resort property.. and used to it was included in the disc price.. but now its like $100 or $150 all on its own or something like that.. because i checked into it
I don't think I'm going to pre-purchase, just because I don't want to have to go home after, check out the pictures, order, pay shipping and handling, wait for it to come (I'm Canadian so the S+H and wait is likely going to be more)... I want to have my CD with me at the end of my trip! I'm not a patient person lol. Plus, I'm splitting it between my boyfriend, his mom, my best friend, her sister and her two cousins... so it's not going to be very much when we split it, plus if we were to pre-order it we would have the additional hassle of having to copy the CD and mail it out to everyone (I'll have my computer on the trip and can copy it for everyone there).
We did the pre-purchase in May and thought it was amazing. One, knowing that we were going to get all of the Photopass pictures up front, we hit every one we could find. Two, it was so much easier to go through the pictures at home rather than standing in the Exposition Hall at a kiosk. Three, once we ordered the cd it came within a week. And finally, as I stated in another thread about Photopass, I was in the pictures with my family instead of behind the camera! :mickeywav
Oh, we for sure will use photopass. I love photography but I'm rarely in any pictures because I'm always taking them. I've used it before and we took over 200 photos because we LOOKED for the photographers and took as many as possible. We're at AK on our last day and I don't think it will be as busy as it will be at MK but the line didn't bother me when I went last time. We could always just go purchase the CD a few hours before the park closes (we're going for a full 2 weeks so I think we can go a few hours without taking a photopass photo). I won't really need to "go through" the photos... I know I'm going to buy the CD and no prints. I can look at them when I get back to my hotel. And like I said, I'm in Canada so it's going to take longer than it took you probably (and all that mailing copies to all my family and friends).
When you go through them, you add Disney boarders and clipart. :tinker:
ok.. if i prepay for it.. i get to go home and go thru the pics before i order my disk.. ?
