Ride Through Stories!

Hey Lou & Nathan! How are people's reactions when either of you go through a ride with a mic, and start talking to yourself? Any funny stories concerning this? I always wonder what the people around you must be thinking?

probably thinking they are talking on a cell phone. Every where I go these days I see people talking to "themselves" with those earpieces that look like Borg implants.

That's actually pretty funny. I've had everything from people start to follow me around, to giving me funny looks (not that I don't get those anyway), to some of my younger, teenage friends... well... let's just say that they took advantage of the opportunity when standing next to someone with a mic. My Tower of Terror ride through was unfortunately ruined just for that reason.

I try and be as discreet as possible. I usually will ditch any headphones, and just use a very small mic. I have often done them with just a lapel mic (or two), which REALLY garnishes stares, as they see me holding nothing, yet describing a ride, queue, etc. in detail, as if I'm talking to someone.

LOL... " Mommy that man keeps talking to himself about the Snow White ride?" . . . " Oh he probably just works for the park sweety. ( Under breath ) We need to get our daughter off this ride as soon as possible! "

Witch: And thay thought I was creepy...

The people on the WDWRR I think got up and left after one stop, because I looked like some psycho geek talking to himself in the last row of the car. :lol:

If I saw someone talking to themselves on the rides, I would probably leave too...
