When I listened to the Sept 19th podcast, THE FIRST movie that came to mind for tear-jerker was Dumbo (Baby Mine) followed by Bambi. Finding Nemo is right up there at the top with Dumbo. I went into a tirade in my original email to Mouse | tunes on Nathan "not getting Nemo", so I'll refrain from repeating it here.
Since Nathan didn't get "Expedition Everest" the first time around, maybe he just needs to watch it again and again and again...as someone else suggested.
(My daughter is the only person I know who saw "ET" and didn't cry. I have no explaination for that either.)
mini-V What will you celebrate?
Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
Yeah! I totally agree T this movie which I saw on suggestion from my good friend Dissylove like to kill me. Nic told me to rent it since I love dogs I just had know idea that it would bring me to tears like that . I just kept thinking about my dog and and what if that was him stuck out there for 6 months in the artic alone I shutter at the thought.
Oh yeah the Feed the Birds sequnce in Mary Poppins gets me all the time too.
I also love the Lion King sentimental moments, but not so much the part where Mufasa is killed, but the part where he comes back in the clouds and tells Simba "Remember Who You Are" and as Simba chases the clouds trying to gain one last look at his father.
When Mufasa is killed, I'm just more horrified and angry than overtly sad at that point. But the cloud scene gets me every time!
Also, in Return to Neverland, when Wendy's daughter says she doesn't believe in fairies and then Tink begins to die... but that's more my daughter's sentimental moment than mine... I cry because she does!
“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”
I gotta say when I was listening last week, I was pretty much yelling at my iPod for one of you to finally mention the "When Somebody Loved Me" sequence in Toy Story 2. Thank you, Lou, for preventing me from crashing my car by finally getting to it. :-)
Also, to add to the list of Mufasa/Simba scenes.... When Simba is looking up at the stars and starts yelling at Mufasa "You said you'd always be there for me! But you're not!! .... and it's because of me....." Oh man. I almost teared up just typing that out.

I fully trust you Lou, please dont' ever sing that for me...I will cry and run screaming out of the room!
I like Nathan have a personal "tear jerker" moment when I hear "I Can't Wait to be King". When our oldest was in 4th Grade the entire school sang this song and it was produced wonderfully....it was very well done...very moving.
Now, whenever I hear the song, I think of that night and I...well....get a tear in my eye.
