Intro For 11/5/06

I have to rave about the Main Street Electrical Parade Intro for Mousetunes this week! I love the MSE and actually traveled to DL/DCA to see it. I can't help but get happy the minute I hear that electronic sounds of MSE!

Thanks for the great show and intro once again! I look forward to hearing your show every week!!

I have to say, I think that was my favorite so far JMatthes! I've been listening since May and the intros are always so fun. This one took the cake for me

Great job, jmatthes, on your intro. Truly amazing work. Anything that's MSEP related is always welcome!

Well I must say fantastic job!! You beat me to it, too. I've been working on a MSEP intro for awhile and haven't been able to get the voice to sound just right...I'm glad you got it! It was driving me nuts! LOL

Hope you enjoy this week's intro!

Thanks!

And in case you were wondering...I used my Korg Triton Studio Keyboard...using a Vocoder program with a synth sound as a base, then I figured out what chords were being played during the original MSEP intro words, re-wrote the words, and practiced playing the chord changes while speaking.

Then it was a matter of loading the original recording into Pro Tools, fading it out at the lyrics, fading in a new bass note (which actually was slightly out of tune, so I had to change the tuning on the keyboard...thank god for the manual...)

and then bringing in the new vocals.

Took a few hours, but I thought it came out pretty well

I'm trying to think of other fun intros or such that a musicy-guy like myself might be able to do.

Any suggestions?

-jmatthes

You may as well be speaking Japanese, but I loved the end result!
