What "Official" DVD's do you mean?? If you mean the DVD's that have an ad on this site they are neither official or worth it.![]()
Disney sells some "official" DVD's of each park and a box set of 4 DVD's at the shops in WDW. I've seen them for sale but have not watched the DVD to know if they are any good.
If they are anything like the one they put out for the Disney Cruise Line (also for sale in the WDW shops) it was like watching a very long, somewhat cheesy commercial for DCL.

My wife and I asked a cast member from World of Disney what they were like. The guy flat out told us they were not worth it. If it's anything like the "Where Magic Lives" DVD, it probably uses a lot of old footage with 80's and 90's hairstyles, background music from a single synth, basic menu style, no extras, and a lot of bad editing. Nevertheless, the fact is I still watch "Where Magic Lives" from time to time, so even though we didn't buy the Official DVD box set that day, I haven't ruled it out entirely.
Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
I have a few of them, Im A big Disney Geek , I felt very let down with them I was hoping for alot more! They have small bites and pieces only nothing exciteing. I know Disney could do much better on these! I wount be getting any more.
We purchased the entire set during our last visit to Disney World. In my opinion they were a complete waste of money. The videos were not terrible but they weren't worth the extremely high price Disney was charging for them.
Personally I was a bit diappointed.......with the exception of the Disneyland one (because it was made specially for the 50th anniversary) alot of the footage is kinda old and grainy but not in a good nostalgic way. For what it costs its not really worth it.

Good thread I have always contemplated buying these. If you have blockbuster online check out the walt disney treasures Disneyland disc. That is excellent tons of great Imagineers, Walt, and great footage of the park. I can't wait to get out to Anahiem.
