Not to be a nit pick, but the proper spelling is 'Por favor, mantenganse alejado de las puertas.'

The 't' can sound a bit like an english 'd' at times depending on the acent of the speaker.

'Mantenganse' comes from the word mantener - which means to maintain. So the phrase really means, "Maintain yourself away from the doors!"
