Re: what happened to the contests?
I don't think they have gone away. When I came to this sight as DWTrivia, Lou's interest was being a Trivia Author. Then he evolved into a Podcaster, dawning of WDW Radio Forums and Podcast. From what I am gathering now his interests have shifted again to being a blogger, don't really see him interacting with the members on the sight any longer. If you noticed with the last upgrade BLOG was added to the headers next to Podcast and forums are on down the line.
About this time a year ago I heard a chunk of the forum content was going to get pulled to fill out the new Blog area. I don't follow the blogs so much, but the last time I looked Lori was still running the photo contests over on the Blog unless in recent months she stopped. You can also register to comment on the Blogs if you wish. Me, I tend to like the forums better than comment section of the blog. The blog comments all seem to be nice, politically correct and rah! rah! about the authors piece, much like the blog world we all have come to know. Forums lend themselves better to conversation and getting to know members and garner opinions with advice better than the comment section of a blog.
