Sorry it has taken so long for us to announce our next Photo Contest.

Welcome to Contest #19 - Best WDW Attraction Queue Photo

Walt Disney World imagineers have so diligently themed the attraction queue areas of thier attractions to keep us all entertained all the while increasing our anticipation of the atttraction ahead.

Examples might be....The chess playing Pirates in PoC, the Graves at HM, The Boiler room at ToT, Mary Poppins Horse area of GMR, GForce Records at RnRC or The Dino Institute at Dinosaur.

Thier attention to the smallest detail is stuff that Trivia Books are made of.

This detail has most certianly prompted many photos. Please post them here.

Rules:

1. The photo can be from current or past
2. Photo's must be yours, do not use other people's work or copyrighted photos
3. You may only enter 1 photo into the contest
4. Please upload pics to the Gallery if possible, this will allow easier access in the voting and winners threads. Link your pictures in this thread to enter them.
5. Contest will run for 14 days with a 2 week voting period.
6. Lou is not eligible to win
7. Winner will receive your choice of a DWT pin or lanyard.

Shere Khan, I recommend checking out RU's "How to" thread here. I found it incredibly helpful. Prior to finding this I used to host a lot of images on another site (imageshack.us) that allowed me to just copy the codes over here. Now I can actually upload the pics to my gallery here and link them.

By the way, nice pic. That's going to be a tough one to beat. I'm going to need to put some thought into this. Hmmm....

Posting the full picture here is acceptable, as a matter of fact, I like it that way. It makes it easy to compare them.

I'm confused about your photo Shere Khan.... We are looking for photo's in the Queue. Your's looks to be a photo of the outside of the attraction. You might want to change it out.

I see Brian's looks like the outside of the attraction also, but you do indeed see the queue line and see the themeing around it, albiet from far away.

We are looking for the area where one might be waiting in line for an attraction and the themeing keeps us interested while creating anticipation for the ride itself. Does that make sense?

In Shere Khan's defense, I think I saw what she was thinking. The building is the queue, and therefore a picture of the building is a picture of the queue... sorta. I think it should be allowed if that's the one she really wants to submit, but she might want to consider changing it for another one, just in case she was unsure of the topic this time.

Hi folks - thought I'd jump in here at this point in the debate.

We will allow both Tiggerguy and Shere Khan photo's for the contest. Tiggerguys photo does indeed include the line itself so it is within guidelines. As for Shere Khan's I would argue that the Dinosaur outfront is part of the queue theming - just like the gravestones outside HM or the ATAT outside Star Tours.

In these cases, I think we can allow the broadest definition of the contest to used and let the people voting actually decide if they think it is a good picture and fits within the contest category.
