Actually Paul, don't know if you know this or not, but Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland is said to have built backwards in part. I'm not certain of the reason as to why this is, but the version that seems to be the most believable of the ones I've read is that Herb Ryman, who drew up the original castle sketch, decided that it looked too much like Neuschwanstein (on which it was primarily based), and began experimenting with a model of the castle. He took the top portion off, turned it around backwards, and it was at that point that Walt walked in, took a look at what he had in front of him, and liked what he saw.

I don't know if this is really how it happened, but when I was doing research for my first Castle Watch thread, it seemed to be a pretty common agreement that the top was in fact switched around to make the back the front. As to exactly why, I'm not sure, but that's what I've heard anyway.

Oh my goodness... I've been so busy with school stuff this past week that I've been neglecting my DWT duties. I haven't been on much at all, I didn't get to do this weeks installment of Castle Watch, and I even forgot to enter a picture for this contest yesterday. I hope you're still accepting entries!

Most of my best pics look so much like a number of the ones already posted. So I did a little digging around, and this is the best I can find that didn't look too terribly much like a carbon copy of someone else's. Hope you like it!
