Trading DWT pins?

I have a few questions...

Have any of you ever tried trading a DWT.com pin to a cast member?

Did it work?

Cast members/former Cast members.... Is this allowed?


I was hoping to trade some of my DWT pins while on vacation as a way of "spreading the word" about DWT.


Any thoughts, comments, words of wisdom?

I have to tell you that I tryed and did not suceed. On several occasions too!!! I found out that a tradable pin must have a Disney (c) on it. Otherwise the pin is deemed untradable. I'm sorry, but I wanted to spread the love of DWT.com too, but they dampened ny parade in December!

you could buy one of the fabulous t-shirts to wear on your trip

chilly?....how about a sweatshirt

you might need a hat to keep the sun off your head

and don't forget to bring you r book with you to the parks to read while waiting for the parades or show to start

I actually HAVE traded my DWT pins with CMs before! I had a couple of CMs ask me about them in September and again at Mousefest (One said, "What's the deal with all these people and the question mark pins?" which thrilled me to death!)

I offered them a pin, and they gave me the pick of their litter, although one said that it wasn't an "official trade" (whatever that meant)

I guess it just depends on the CM who may want it for his/her own collection

Thats because the rules state that only "Disney" pins can be traded. So that is the "official" trade. But the CM has the final say in all trades. That is another rule. So the CM can in theory trade for the DWT pin. However it is discouraged by the company to do so, because they use the CM's to circulate pins to guests.

i am going to order some more of them and try to trade again in June when I am down there, WDW here I come!!!!!
