Open edition is the opposite of limited edition. It basically means that Disney will continue to generate the supply as long as the demand exists. When a shop sells out, they'll make more of them. A Limited Edition, on the other hand, has a set number of pins that will be made. Once they're sold, that's it, no more will be made.
