How do I explain Vinylmation? The pins are just two dimensional representations of the three dimensional figures. They all have a standard shape (Mickey) and are designed by various artists and put into varied collections with themes. one of the reasons I like them so much is to see how different the designs can be, within one shape.

DS has been collecting the last few trips. This year for Marathon weekend, he and I are each going with ten and trading to see who can get the most interesting collection. This ten, plus the one Jessica as Star Trek Yeoman pin I have, puts me into the 10+ category !
I started to collect/trade them in 2008. At last count, I have over 50 something....I have one that I've been searching for...have looked on my last 3 trips and no luck. Someday I hope to find it. I'm told it's rare..it's part of a Tinkerbell set of 4.

Love Disney pins! So happy I saw this post!
I have a small collection I started in 2001. Got married last year and my DH is collects several different things and Disney pins has been added to his collectibles! YAY!
Question, is there a book, website, etc. available so DH can study up on Disney pins before our delayed WDW Honeymoon in 62 days? It's DH's first trip to WDW and he is eager to begin his collection purchasing/trading, but wants to learn more about pins, which pins/types of pins are more collectible, etc.
Thanks in advance!
Nancy
