I know this is terrible, but I don't have any.
We wouldn't have any if people hadn't started giving them to MJ.....We couldn't afford to buy them for her....Now it seems like we have a zillion..... they started with our DWT pins from Lou....MJ is up to 66 (tho 2 are dupes) Andrew has 3 and I have 8. Only 4 of them were bought (holiday ones from Andrew to me) All the rest have been gufts....it is pretty amazing, I am going to post a story about her pins....(still soooooo far behind on her stories)Quote:

No really, I keep them in a Mickey Lunchbox...
I collect too, no trading for me. All my pins have memories attached to them, I can't give those away can I?
I haven't figured out a safe, dust free way to store them yet. My collection started out as a few special trinkits and just went nuts. My friend goes to FL alot and has brought many back for me. I have my DWT pin and CM edition Cinderella's Castle pin (from last year's Disney Meet.)
Me thinks it be time for one of those PIN carriers...do ye agree?
I would display them on cork board with a plastic covering so you can enjoy them....we are putting MJ's on an artisits canvas with locking backs and we tie it to her wheelchair. The CM's love to look for the pins that they gave her
Corkboard is a good idea :)
You use a real canvas? The kind around a wooden frame?
I think I like that idea better ::yes::
Thank you Mommy!
yup, real canvas with a wooden frame......glad to help!
:musa: I HAVE ALMOST ALL OF THE 50 STATES AND 2 LANDYARDS FULL OF STITCH,ALL OF ONE SERIES OF THE 2004 OLIMPICS,VILLANS,AND LOTS OF CAST MEMBER ONES.:musa:
:dizzy: I FORGOT ALL OF MY NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS PINS TOO!
I collect Alice in Wonderland pins and Jessica Rabbit pins. I also have a few Cinderella and a few extra faves. I have 52 but only went to WDW once. I got some from ebay, ones I don't really care for that I can trade at the parks. A few Pooh ones, a coupla princess ones that I don't like but other people will, etc.
I said 200-299, but that's a complete guess. It could be over 300, I haven't counted in a long time. Like I said earlier, I try to only get LE, numbered, or signed ones, along with collection pins.
Errrrrr.....MJ's needs to go in the almost 500 group......
Andrew and I still each have less than 20....

We narrowed the pins we collect down to just those with the pointy backs!
Unfortunately, I'm with James . . . my collections started having collections of their own. I started out collecting only a few categories, but then the addiction just seemed to take over . .. .
My daughter has given me most of the pins I have so I don't care to trade them. I also have several limited edition pins that fit the same description. I like some of the display ideas that were given in this thread. I think I'm going to look into displaying those that don't fit on my lanyard.
3/09 I wrote this in 2006 with a handful of pins. I just counted up my "loot" and found I now have 43. Not a huge amount, but 43 that I'm really not interested trading. I have 4-5 on a lanyard and the rest are mounted in display frames and hanging on my craft room wall. Fortunately...there's still room for many more.
I only have a few that I collected last time I was at WDW. Had them on a lanyard but it got too heavy in the hot sun. This year I will already be carrying my Pal Mickey, so may have to leave the pins at home! I guess I could take a couple and pierce his ears with them!!!
