question about wearing pins?

do you wear the pins you dont wanna trade.. like your very favs or pins to show support.

i have a few that the last time i went he said i shouldnt have on my lanyard because he hasnt seen many of them.

i collect ones i like and i think they show personality. but since i dont wanna trade them.. should i not wear them?

I think you can wear whatever you want, but if you trade, then be prepared to trade what you display. You could always have a trade lanyard and a show lanyard. When my kids were younger and only traded with CMs, they used to have a show side and a trade side on their lanyards.

If you just wanna' wear them for display, then wear them...no one can make you trade unless YOU want to.

The only way I've ever seen it work is the Guest initiating the trade with a pin that they wanted to trade for one they wanted on a CM's lanyard.

Anyone can trade with whoever they want, of course, as long as the two parties are in agreement. But, again, no one can MAKE you trade if you don't want too.

I always find if you trade with CM's only they let you chose what pins you trade with them that's what I do.
I tend to wear whatever pins I have on hols with me and only trade what I want

Kids can pick which pins they want to trade with CMs. When adults trade with CMs, it is a normal trade... you pick a pin and the CM picks a pin. Sometimes the CMs will have on two different colored lanyards or displays... one for kid trading, one for adults. I think you can wear your show lanyard, then remove it and wear your trade lanyard when ready to trade. By having both on you, you will be ready to trade when you want.

I usually only wear what I have to trade.. This is more because I want to take as many trade pins as I can to the park in hopes that I come home with that many more awesome ones.
With that being said however, if you have ones you want to display there is nothing wrong with that. I agree with everyone else, no one can make you trade something you don't want to.

That's probably why I only remember it the other way - you give away what you don't want, and get what you want...DS has traded before, but I have yet to.

You can wear 10 lanyards if ya' want...or cover a giant coat with 'em...or wear 'em in your face, for that matter. I've seen less appealing piercings...!
